The lone walker from the USA had tripped over a branch and awkwardly fallen hurting her wrist badly. A passerby had assisted the walker and phoned the emergency services. The location was on a footpath at the rear of Gowbarrow Fell. A local Team member arrived at the scene fairly swiftly and examined the injury which had been stabilised in a makeshift sling.
