At about 19:00 on Saturday 14 June 2025, police passed on details of a call from a walker who had become separated from a party of 15 near Grisedale Tarn. Poor phone coverage meant that neither the police nor the Duty Leader could recontact the walker. When the walker eventually phoned the police again, they were nearly off the fell and well into Langdale Ambleside MRT's area, so the incident was passed to that team.
