Young person flown from fells above Hartsop

On Thursday 18th September 2008 at 13.13 Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team were called by Cumbria Police to assist a 17yr old youth from London who had collapsed on the fells above Hartsop near Patterdale while walking with an organised outdoor group.

The team attended and also called the Cumbria Air Ambulance and Penrith Mountain Rescue Team to assist them. The casualty was assessed by team members and the crew of the Air Ambulance. He was flown to The Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle for further treatment.
