Ruthwaite Lodge Grisedale
Patterdale Mountain rescue Team were called by Cumbria Police to a girl aged 17 who had injured her left knee while walking in the Grisedale Valley, Ullswater. The girl was camping in the valley and the team were called out to assist her at midnight. The girls injury had worsened as time passed and she was unable to walk or stand.

Eight team members from Patterdale Mountain Rescue team and two from the Penrith team attended the incident. The girl was examined by a Patterdale team doctor and then evacuated by stretcher to the team’s base. The teams were stood down at 03.45.
