Broad Crag, Scandale Pass area
On Friday 27th June 2008 Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team were called by Cumbria Police to assist a group of four women who were lost in the Scandale Pass area near Brothers water. One of the party was also reported to have injured her arm and to have fainted on a number of occasions. Initially contact with the reporting person was difficult as the mobile signal kept dropping out.

When the exact location of the group was finally ascertained 10 team members from Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team assisted by 8 from Penrith Mountain Rescue Team made there way to the scene. After pain relief had been administered by the Patterdale Team Doctor the casualty was stretchered from the scene, transported to the Patterdale team base and transferred to an ambulance for onward transport to The Cumbria Infirmary in Carlisle.
