The Priest Hole strikes again. This time a young man who had been unable to find the Priest Hole the evening before, and who had spent the night on the mountain, became disorientated in the morning and descended the wrong way from the summit of Dove Crag. He fell into a gully and sustained minor injuries.

The Team were called to rescue a woman who had injured her knee whilst descending from Place Fell. She was treated on scene and stretchered to a Landrover ambulance in the valley. As they team were completing this rescue they were called to incident 30 on Helvellyn.

A 69-year-old man fell approximately 300ft from St Sunday Crag. The man had suffered serious head injuries, possible chest trauma, a broken leg and wrist. He was treated on scene by the rescue team’s doctor, a doctor and paramedic from the Great North Air Ambulance, and team members.
