The Team were called to assist a 65yr old woman from Truro, Cornwall. The woman, who was on her way to watch the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, had stopped on route for a walk on the shores of Ullswater. Unfortunately, whilst walking with her husband and daughter she slipped and sustained a suspected fractured anjkle.

Duck Race 2014 and a first outing for new trailer

The annual Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team Duck Race (Monday 21 April) saw almost 3000 bright yellow ducks racing down Glenridding Beck and it was also the first chance for local people and visitors alike to see the Team’s new trailer.
