RAF Boulmer Correction

In a recent press release following the rescue on Monday 21st September, Patterdale MRT stated that RAF Boulmer was closing at the end of September. Mike Blakey, Team Leader said: 'It is the RAF Search and Rescue SeaKing helicopter based at Boulmer that will no longer be operational from the end of September. The base is remaining open. We have a long history of working closely with this RAF helicopter base and its search and rescue crews. We will be sad to see the SeaKing helicopter retire; and look forward to working with the new HM Coastguard service. Once again our sincerest thanks go to the RAF and the RAF Boulmer crews who we have worked and trained with extensively. We wish all well for the future and congratulate them on many years of outstanding service'
